About me
I’m a word nerd. I’ve loved reading and writing for as long as I can remember. My mom says I started reading the newspaper at four, and I’ve been telling stories ever since I learned how to hold a pencil.
For the past 10 years, I’ve been teaching at the college level, sharing my passion for clear, effective communication. At Mohawk College, I’ve spent the last seven years helping first-year students build strong writing skills—something I genuinely love doing. Along the way, I’ve also taught courses in public relations, social media, website design, and more.
Before stepping into the classroom, I spent over 20 years working as a senior communications professional. I’ve written for government, higher education, and non-profits, handling everything from media relations and internal communications to web content, social media, and fundraising campaigns. I’ve also supported small businesses and non-profits as a consultant, helping them tell their stories and connect with their audiences.
